Unburdened by the academic or professional shackles, a new reality is borne out of a dialogue with medium and processes of printing inks. On girded scaffolds of layered colors, flashes of light recall the blurred vision as color scrapes past, in scratches and screeches. Life has changed and the boundaries no longer defined. Skyscrapers bare themselves, a
panoptican viewpoint converging many possible and potential realities into a singular metascape.
The uncontained viscosity of paints & graphic inks charters and echoes the humdrum and the hustle -bustle of urban life, manufacturing in its wake the unexpected, the spontaneous and the inevitable spill- over of a modernizing city. Juxtapositions, transitions, transmutations- in
unattended sequences of time and space, imprints on mind, the dots and dashes of
instant communication, transportation and gratification of a seething world with endless possibilities. Stroke by stroke, the broad sweeps of undesigned colors reveal, conceal and camouflage the underbelly, the underlying vulnerable core of a city.
Glossed over by neon lights, it heaves under unceasing blizzard of pigment- fragmented and staggered into jerky heaps of illuminated industrial space.
The graphic designer by profession, design and circumstances, in his own words, succumbs to the will of the paints and inks and ‘under the quiet lights, submerged in the stink of printing ink, a luminous new reality emerges and colors begin to dance unexpectedly’.
